Founder and CEO: Patrick C. Arias
Patrick Arias was a member of a small group that envisioned the purpose and mission that is now being pursued by Utility Sales and Service. The Company is a privately owned corporation. Mr. Arias is the founder and President. Mr. Arias has over twenty-five years of experience in electric utility metering, operations and related fields. He began his utility career with the City of Longmont; first as a meter reader, then a Journey-level metermen, and ultimately as the manager of the meter shop.
Beyond his experience with the City of Longmont, Mr. Arias has additional experience with electric distribution equipment, and metering devices through his sales experience with Hunt Technologies, where he was a Regional Sales Manager. He was also the Western Regional Marketing Manager for Siemens Electric.
Operations Manager/Working Journey Foreman:
Michael Arias
Michael has been a Utility Sales and Service employee for eight years. He completed all four levels at Rocky Mountain Meter School—basic, intermediate, advanced, and hands-on; and received the Colorado State Metering Certificate. While working for Utility Sales and Service, he completed four years of on-the-job apprentice training before working alone. As the company’s working foreman, Michael performs energy audits, and is a trained specialist with the E-mon D-mon electrical submetering product line. Michael graduated from the University of Colorado in 2006 with a degree in Spanish.
Senior Meterman: Dick Pittock
Dick Pittock has been with the company for six years, making him the company’s longest running Senior Meterman. Dick completed the four-year Rocky Mountain Metering School, where he passed the Colorado State metering exam, earning a Colorado State Metering Certificate. While employed with Utility Sales and Service, Dick completed an additional four-year service program to earn the title of “Senior Meterman.” Before working with Utility Sales and Service, Dick was employed with Xcel Energy, where he fulfilled the requirements of their four-year apprentice training program and worked thirty years before retiring.
Senior Meterman: Rich Morison
Rich has been employed by Utility Sales and Service for almost six years. He completed the four-level Rocky Mountain Meter School, earning his Colorado State Metering Certificate. Before working with Utility Sales and Service, Rich was employed by the City of Longmont, where he finished their four-year apprenticeship program. He was also put in charge of the City of Longmont’s “Safety For Electric Metering” training program. Rich currently manages the classroom portion of Utility Sales and Service’s training program. Every apprentice is required to complete on the job training with Rich before they complete our apprentice program and are allowed to work in the field alone.
